The Gear Club Podcast features an informative, yet irreverent, look at the art of recording with stories told by the pros in the industry. It's hosted by John Agnello (Dinosaur Jr., Sonic Youth) and Stewart Lerman (St. Vincent, Patti Smith, Boardwalk Empire). Every episode features an interview with a legendary engineer, artist, inventor, or producer. They also deconstruct a recording that inspired them, discuss their favorite piece of audio gear, and offer recording tips and techniques. This episode features Richard Factor, the founder of Eventide Audio.
Fission is a brand new, ground-breaking plug-in that does something entirely new to audio. It allows you to split a sound into its transient and tonal parts, independently manipulate them using Eventide's world-class effects and then fuse them back together. With the ability to add effects and dynamic controls to the transient and tonal sections, you can produce a wide range of effects, from the subtle to the extreme. This video shows a track we made using 10 different instances of Eventide Fission. This is a great example of how to use the plug-in for sound design.
The guys over at andvinyly.com have figured out a way to press cremated ashes into a vinyl record. This is a great way to be remembered for as long as the earth keeps producing people that make turntables. Record a story from your loved one, put their favorite music on it (or tunes they created), etc.
Attention audiophiles! If you've ever wanted to be a fly on the wall during famous recording sessions, this is your chance. The new podcast "Gear Club" which can also be found on Soundcloud and the Gear-Club website, is full of funny & interesting stories about recording techniques and gear.
Now you can listen to legendary producer/engineers John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr., Kurt Vile, Aerosmith) and Stewart Lerman (Sharon Van Etten, Shawn Colvin, Bob Dylan, Boardwark Empire) wax poetic about studio gear. These guys have a great time together but keep it focused on everything from monitoring to obsolete gear to their favorite microphones.

We love the H910 and until the end of the month you can pick it up for only $99 from Eventide. Here it is showcased in a beat made by Headsnack. Thickening up the keyboard adds subtle harmonics and allows it to sit nicely in the mix.
Mogees analyzes vibrations you create from everyday objects and turns it into music. The more distinct the hits are, the better the software works. Use your imagination and assign the different sounds within the software to whatever sounds you desire.
We worked with artist, Headsnack, to create a video that showcases how he created his H910 Dual Theme Song video. The song is available for free download on Soundcloud. The Eventide H910 Dual is an iconic plug-in that meshes delay, feedback & pitch-shifting to create some truly unique sounds.
