We're big fans of MasterWriter, a cloud-based app that can be accessed from any desktop, tablet or smart phone. It's a suite of writing tools for songwriters, emcees, & creative writers. It's super easy to use and has a lot of features that can help anybody suffering from writer's block.
One of our staff writers, Headsnack, has been featured on American Music Supply's "Catch a Break" series! In this interview he breaks down why he uses Adam Audio monitors & the Moog Sub 37 Tribute on his tracks. You can also read some of Headsnack's tech gear buyer's guides right here!
Mogees analyzes vibrations you create from everyday objects and turns it into music. The more distinct the hits are, the better the software works. Use your imagination and assign the different sounds within the software to whatever sounds you desire.
We worked with artist, Headsnack, to create a video that showcases how he created his H910 Dual Theme Song video. The song is available for free download on Soundcloud. The Eventide H910 Dual is an iconic plug-in that meshes delay, feedback & pitch-shifting to create some truly unique sounds.
The ultra compact MAUI 5 weighs in at about 24 lbs while delivering 800 watts of peak power and a maximum SPL of 120 dB. Providing both sound reinforcement with extended coverage and feedback resistant monitoring the subwoofer base and 3-piece column system assembles in seconds with custom multipin connectors.
Check out this video created by Training Snacks in which we go through all the features and show how easy it is to break down. If you're in the market for a PA system, pick one up here.
Tverb was developed in collaboration with legendary producer, engineer and musician Tony Visconti. The plugin was inspired by the iconic sound of the title track of David Bowie’s twelfth studio album Heroes.
Tverb is a faithful recreation of Visconti's three microphone technique used with Bowie on "Heroes" at Hansa Studios, Berlin. With the Tverb plugin you can run your tracks through this legendary room with one close mic and two movable stereo room mics with control over the response characteristics of the room.
Available for purchase or as part of Eventide's Ensemble Subscription, a really cool way to use every Eventide plug-in for a small fee on a recurring basis.
Martin Molin is an inventor that designed the Wintergatan Marble Machine. It has to be seen to be believed.
Eventide has just announced a killer deal on the secret weapon of reverb, Blackhole. From now through the end of March, 2016, Blackhole can be bought for only $49! Most reverbs are earth-bound and constrained by the physics of the real world. Eventide’s Blackhole reverb breaks the rules by allowing you to create virtual spaces that could never exist in our reality. At large sizes, its soft attack and lingering, harmonic tails allow it to really shine on guitars, strings and pads. At small sizes, those very same qualities can help add an angelic sheen to vocals or turn a simple drum track into an otherworldly rhythm section.
Ableton Live version 9.6 includes Link, a technology that keeps devices in time over a wireless network. As long as you're on the same network, you can sync multiple computers with Live as well as Link-compatible iOS devices (the list of these keeps growing). Sounds pretty slick but watch Matt's video to see how fun this could be.
Since the early 70s, Eventide has been known as a leader of studio rack gear effects and the highest quality stomp boxes. Although professional producers and guitarists know their name, many electronic dance & hiphop heads aren't familiar with them. They just released Anthology X, a span of 40 years of technology (they created the first ever digital delay) in native AAX, AU, & VST format plug-ins. In this video we created a down-tempo track and only used Eventide plug-ins. If you want to try out Anthology X, they have a fully-functional 30 day demo (it doesn't time out or introduce unwanted noise).
