It allows you to split a sound into its transient and tonal parts, independently manipulate them using Eventide's world-class effects and then fuse them back together. With the ability to add effects and dynamic controls to the transient and tonal sections, you can produce a wide range of effects, from the subtle to the extreme. This video shows a track we made using 10 different instances of Eventide Fission. This is a great example of how to use the plug-in for sound design. The guys over at andvinyly.com have figured out a way to press cremated ashes into a vinyl record. This is a great way to be remembered for as long as the earth keeps producing people that make turntables.
